School swimathon a truly fitting tribute
Published on 22nd March 2007 in News
Years five and six pupils at Boothferry Primary School are pictured about to take part in a fundraising swimathon.
The money will go to the Amanda McVeagh Cancer Appeal, which was set up by Amanda when she was diagnosed with cancer.
Her mum, Marie Kewley (also pictured), said her daughter had wanted to take part in the swimathon but sadly she died in December last year.
Schools across the East Riding will be taking part, in the hope that they can swim the equivalent of around the world, in lengths. (22-03-51 GT)
