Published on 22nd March 2007 in News

A 22-year-old year man was kicked until he lost consciousness during an assault on Hook Road on Sunday.

The man, from Hook, was passing the skate park opposite Fountayne Street at around 12.10am when he was approached by two men from behind.

They caused him to fall to the floor, kicked him in the face and demanded his phone and wallet, which the man said he did not have.

The men kicked him again before lost consciousness.

The victim suffered a cut to his bottom lip, which needed stitches and bruises to his forehead. He was taken to Goole Hospital for treatment but was not admitted.

One attacker was in his late teens, around six feet tall and of skinny build.

The second is also thought to be in his mid to late teens, around five feet seven inches tall, of skinny build and wearing a grey, hooded top.

It is not thought that anything was stolen.
