Planning appeal

Published on 4th January 2007 in News

An appeal has been made to the planning inspectorate in respect of land off Quart Lane Junction, Rudding Lane, Eastrington after the refusal of the original planning application.

The plans, submitted by Miss Heather Bennett, were refused in the first instance because the retention of the siting of the mobile home was considered contrary to planning policy which states that 'isolated new houses in the countryside will require special justification to be granted,' which was not provided by the applicant.

The appeal is to be decided on the basis of an exchange of written statements by the parties and a site visit by an inspector appointed by the Secretary of State.

If you wish to make representations on the appeal or want to withdraw or modify your earlier comments, you should write direct to The Planning Inspectorate, 3/18a Eagle Wing, Temple Quay House, 2 The Square, Temple Quay, Bristol, BS1 6PN, enclosing three copies, before Wednesday, January 10.
