Sir - How dismayed and ashamed I am each year that, besides the regular few, the people of our villages - Faxfleet, Blacktoft and Yokefleet - feel there is no need to go to the church in Blacktoft on Remembrance Sunday to honour the many people - including 12 brave men from the parish - who fought and died for the liberty and lifestyle they all now enjoy.
