Long summer hols

Sir - Hasn't it been great seeing so many local kids giving up their summer holidays as part of the Lifestyle challenge?

At the same time, I wonder what their teachers have been doing. Apart from MPs, what other profession offer a six-week summer holiday on full pay?

Most teachers went to school, then university, then back to school again, so it's possible for them to reach retirement age without ever working a day in August What a life?
