Warning to cyclists
Published on 26th October 2006 in Letters
Sir - I am becoming increasingly concerned for the safety of cyclists on Hook Road in Goole.
As a cyclist myself, I strongly advise them to use the designated cycle path, most of which has recently been resurfaced - long overdue as it was terribly bumpy.
This letter has been prompted by the sight, shortly after 4pm on October 18 when I was driving with side lights, of a teenage girl texting on her mobile phone while cycling, with a bus following and oncoming traffic passing parked cars.
An accident waiting to happen, I fear.
