Where was flag on minster?

Published on 1st May 2008 in Letters

Sir - I am a resident in Goole, but I work in Howden. As I approach Howden most days I look forward to seeing Howden Minster, which is such a unique landmark.

But last Wednesday, which was St. George's Day, I was disappointed to see no flag of St. George flying on top of the minster.

Can anyone tell me the explanation for this, as I am very patriotic - and disappointed.
