Thanks from family

Published on 24th April 2008 in Letters

Sir - The family of the late Don Walker would like to express great thanks to all the organisers, players and supporters following this year's Charity Football Match. The evening was the coldest of the year so far, yet a fabulous total of £545 was raised in aid of Cancer Research UK.

Thanks also go to staff at the Goods Office, who provided an excellent venue for everyone to enjoy drinks and the excellent buffet. The help with the raffle was greatly appreciated.

Everyone's support is greatly welcomed in our continued fundraising efforts towards this worthy cause.

Kath and all the Walker family
