Spot-on service from Goole firm
Published on 24th April 2008 in Letters
Sir - Your newspaper sometimes has to report on distressing disorders in our town. May I please take this opportunity to show that we do still have kind and caring people in Goole?
My wife and I are in our seventies. My wife has Alzheimer's Disease and has had a bad fall and fractured her pelvis. It was imperative that we obtained the correct style of high-backed armchair to provide the necessary support and assist the healing process. However, there was no way that I could take her to a furniture store.
I telephoned Messrs. Hargreaves Furniture Ltd., of Boothferry Road, to ask for any help they could give. Within the space of two hours they arrived with a selection of four chairs for my wife to try out.
The chair we chose was absolutely spot on and I can hardly find words descriptive enough to express publicly my extreme gratitude to Hargreaves Ltd. The delivery team were not only helpful, they were sensitive and patient. I just thought your readers would want to hear about our marvellous good fortune.
