Sir - Last week I visited the Waterways Museum in Old Goole with five friends. What a great museum it is.

We were made very welcome and I felt very proud to show them this little gem on the side of the Dutch River. The exhibits are presented in an appealing, colourful display. The café is well run, with tasty snacks at reasonable prices. The boat trip, with life jackets, an enjoyable insight into the industry on the lock.

To conclude our visit, we enjoyed a lovely walk along the Aire and Calder Canal. I can truly recommend families and friends to support this local attraction. In this day and age of grumbles and complaints let us appreciate and use what we have on our doorstep.
