Sunday sweeping welcomed

Published on 7th February 2008 in Letters

Sir - I thought it a shame that your reader from Salisbury Avenue (January 24) begrudged the small extra cost of the street cleaner on a Sunday.

I for one really appreciate the service and think that the streets reflect this. Just cast your mind back a couple of years and we were knee-deep in street litter.

Does your reader think the £15 million so far squandered on Richard Cooper Street and Phoenix Street is acceptable?
