Sir - Having written to the Goole Times on numerous occasions about the antics of our local councillors, and the bad decisions that I think they make, it is time to take up the pen again.

It has taken years to get some sort of industrial programme on the move in the Goole area, no thanks to the majority of local councillors who are supposed to represent the people of Goole. The planners who are paid out of our rates have recommended that the restrictions that were placed on Sterling Capitol, who are in the process of building a multi-million pound industrial and business park, should be lifted, but one of our councillors in her wisdom knows better!

It would seem that the wildlife in the area has more of a priority than our local economy. I am sure that the planners have taken on board that there are certain codes of practice that must be adhered to before recommending approval.

On the question about the environment myself, and I would suggest the majority of citizens in the surrounding area, are concerned - but not if it holds up the economic growth which has been needed in our area.
