What a superb performance!

Published on 20th December 2007 in Letters

Sir - I wish to offer sincere congratulations to the entire Butterfly Dance Studio on the seven most wonderfully beautiful performances of Alice in Wonderland - it was second to none and an absolute delight to watch from beginning to end.

All the performers had continual smiles on their beautiful faces, which in itself is a marvellous quality, and their dancing skills were excellent. The choreography throughout was amazing, and the dancers are very lucky to have such wonderful teachers as the Rudge sisters.

They are also lucky to have such terrific parents, who give generously their time, as well as their money, to allow their daughters and sons such a wonderfully fulfilling pastime.

It is also great that we're lucky in such health-conscious days that teenagers realise he benefits of dance. Sadly, it seems we are lacking in the amount of boys, despite such current superb television appearances by Strictly Come Dancing professionals and past, superb Goole boy dancers - who are all now men.

We are extremely fortunate that Goole offers such wonderful opportunities to its young people, and there is also an amazing number of superb adult dancers - all should be very proud of themselves!

Parents deserve to enjoy their long-awaited rest - make sure you appreciate your parents, girls and boys: please, thank them!
