Sir - Drax power station, the glass factory, the Ouse Bridge, the M62 motorway - I could go on. Try to imagine these eyesores being built in other areas: let's say the Dales, the Lakes or around Harrogate, for example.

No, can't imagine it. Neither can I, yet here we go again around Goole and Howden with wind turbines. These monstrous eyesores are going to spoil the last bit of country views we have left in this area, and for what? Half of the time they don't work. These turbines are being forced on us by greedy landowners and so-called green energy companies, who to my mind are solely in it for the money.

People, wake up and voice your objections to these blots on the landscape.
