Support local shops

Sir - We now hear about major supermarkets price-fixing to the tune of some £250 million by colluding together and upping the prices of milk, cheese and butter.
I personally stopped using them even to buy a newspaper some two years ago and went back to supporting my local shop. I found it cheaper in most cases - and receiving personal service with a smile is an added bonus.
Just reading the labels on supermarket products and seeing 'produced on behalf of' and 'packed on behalf of 'made me realise these companies make nothing but money. And it never seems to be enough for them.
