People power won the day

Published on 9th August 2007 in Letters

Sir - If I may I would like to take this opportunity to write publicly to your newspaper to say a huge thank you to the Goole Times for all your support in respect of the campaign to save the Bartholomew House Mental Health Unit in Goole.

I know that the Belgravia Carers were extremely grateful for all the support that they received from the Goole Times and for the prominence that your newspaper gave to the campaign.

Once again please accept the sincere thanks from everyone involved in the campaign to save the Bartholomew House Mental Health Unit and I have to say that I think that we have certainly shown what people power can do.

Andrew Percy

(Prospective MP for Brigg and Goole)

High Street,

Airmyn
