Sir - How many people watched the television programme on Sunday afternoon on BBC1 of the 25th anniversary of the Falklands War? Did anyone notice the fed-up look most of the time on Charles' face? I only noticed him smile twice.

When he was singing - or mumbling, more appropriately - he did NOT sing 'long may she reign over us'. He had a look of disinterest most of the time and I feel that was a snub to the country and our wonderful Queen. Andrew at least showed some interest.

I think, along with many more people if they spoke up, that William should become king when his grandmother steps down. He is intelligent and more in touch with the people.

If William were made king his father then could retire with his love and move abroad, like his uncle Edward and Mrs Simpson. That way the monarchy would be safe.

PS: I also noticed that Camilla did not make much effort - she seemed to just stand there.
