Thanks for fundraising

Published on 5th April 2007 in Letters

Sir - May we thank the R.A.O.B. Cape of Good Hope Lodge for their fund raising night at the Old Goole Working Men's Club? The night raised £343 for The Moorlands Community Café. The Café has just had an extension built which is in need of furbishment and the money raised will be used for this purpose. Other recent donations to this cause have been Joseph Boaz Trust £500, Joseph Cattle Trust £2,000, Charles Sykes Trust £3,000, Sylvia Shepherd Trust £500, Drax Power £200, Lloyds TSB £5,000. The total cost of fitting out the new kitchen is in the region of £18,000, so we will continue to look for further funding. Thank you to all our funders but our biggest thanks are to the community of Old Goole, including the R.A.O.B. for your continuing support.
