Sunday pharmacy

Published on 15th February 2007 in Letters

Sir - Recently, I received through my door an advert for Boots The Chemist in Wheatley Hall Road in Doncaster, stating they were the nearest pharmacy open on a Sunday (perhaps it stated it was the nearest 'Boots' pharmacy).

However, whilst visiting friends in Thorne yesterday, they told me of the new Alchem Pharmacy, Fieldside, in the new medical centre (Vermuyden Centre), Thorne, directly off the main road. It is open 8am until Midnight Monday to Friday, until 8pm on Saturday, from 9am until 5pm on Sundays and 10am until 4pm on Bank Holidays.

I felt the people of Goole need to know this as Thorne is significantly nearer than Doncaster.
