Thanks to Gilberdyke street cleaner

Published on 8th February 2007 in Letters

Sir - If there was ever a prize for dedication I would like to give the Gilberdyke village cleaner a big dustbin lid sized one!

I don't know his name but I know that he is out on the streets at the first chink of light, out in snow, rain, sun and wind and, to be honest, I don't even think he has a day off!

If this chap ever retired I dread to think what state of our village would be in.

A big thank you again for keeping our village as clean as we could ever wish for.

A Gilberdyke resident
