Quest for old shipmate
Published on 18th January 2007 in Letters
Sir - I have been asked by an old friend if I can help him to contact an old shipmate from the second world war when they both served on board HMS Victoria and Albert and HMS Renown as boy messengers.
His name was John Williams and he came from Goole. The name of my friend is Norman Craggs and his address is 68 Keeley Lane, Wooton, Bedfordshire. His telephone number is 01234 852456. The Naval Service Number of John Williams was something like JX134???, that of my friend being JX134414. If any of your readers do know John, I would be most grateful if they would pass on this request to him. I thank you for any help you can give in this matter.
