Theatre comes to The Gate

Published on 23rd November 2006 in Ents

The great British seaside holiday is the subject of a John Godber comedy to be performed at The Gate this weekend.

September in the Rain follows a couple on their annual Blackpool holiday when they look back over 30 years of marriage.

Staying in boarding houses, eating fish and chips and paddling in the sea - you name it, they've done it.

One of Godber's classic comedies, it will be performed on Friday November 24 and Saturday 25 at 8pm. Don't forget your stick of rock.

Tickets cost £8 and £6 and are available from the Goole Town Council offices, telephone 01405 763652 or an hour before the play, 01405 720219.
