Family fun is set for all at the Gate

Published on 16th October 2008 in Ents

This weekend sees the first visit to The Gate from Lee Threadgold of Scarborough based Animated Objects Theatre Company.

Described by The Stage as "a winning introduction to theatre", this could be the premier show to bring your family along to if you haven't visited before.

For both regulars and first timers this will be a wonderful afternoon of family entertainment.

Rudyard Kipling is the inspiration behind Lee's show, Just So. Kipling was an English author and poet, probably best known for his work, The Jungle Book.Animated Objects takes you on a inspired trip through the classic tales of Kipling in this puppet adventure including stories such as "How The Leopard got his Spots", "How the Rhino got his Skin" and "The Elephant's Child".

Featuring a host of lively animal marionettes and plenty of fun for families with children from three years and above.

The show will take place on Saturday at 2pm at The Gate. All tickets £3.50 from Goole Town Council, Gladstone Terrace or on the door.

Daytime box office: 01405 763652, showtime box office: 01405 720219 (one hour before show start time).
