Fans of Disney's Beauty and the Beast will be in for a treat when the popular love story takes to the stage at Hull New Theatre from September 17-27.
Back by popular demand after its previous visit in 2005 the much loved musical will include all the familiar characters such as Mrs Potts and Chip, the hilarious double act Lumiere and Cogsworth, Gaston the town hero and, of course, the beautiful Belle and fearsome yet kind-hearted Beast.
Audiences will be able to sing-along to all the productions well-known songs including 'Be Our Guest', 'Human Again' and ' Beauty and the Beast'.
The Beast will be played by Matthew Cammelle, who has previously played the lead role in the equally popular production of 'The Phantom of the Opera'. Alongside Matthew, Ashley Oliver will take up the role of Belle.
The two star characters will be joined by Ben Harlow as Gaston, Tania Newton as Mrs Potts, Ashley Knight as Cogsworth and Ben Stock as Lumiere.
The enchanting love story has been enjoyed by over 25 million people worldwide and has been nominated for nine Tony awards including 'Best Musical'.
This theatrical phenomenon has wowed audiences all over the world with critically acclaimed, record breaking runs in London, New York, Los Angeles, Toronto, Sydney and Tokyo. It now returns with a new UK tour having visited Kuala Lumpur and Dublin for resident seasons during 2008.
