Snaithfest hits ten this weekend

The Bell and Crown pub in Snaith will celebrate a milestone occasion this August with the 10th annual Snaithfest music festival coming to town.

The three day event takes place on Friday, August 29, Saturday 30th and Sunday, August 31 and will feature a variety of up and coming artists from the region.

Bands such as Kal-Els Cape from Hull and New Vinyl from Wakefield will kick start the festival on Friday night with Sheffield band The Silent Film Project headlining the evening having recently supported chart topping indie band Dirty Pretty Things on tour.

Saturday afternoon will give local bands and artists the chance to shine with an open mic session, whilst previous Snaithfest favourites, indie-folk band The James Warner Prophecies from Derby will headline on Saturday evening. Iconic rock band Boycott from Leeds and jazz/folk group The Neumes will also be performing live on stage.

The festival will end with an acoustic night on Sunday evening featuring performances from Ian Wallace, Holly Taymar and many more as well as the opportunity for open-mic singers to perform.

Friday and Saturday evening shows begin at 8pm with the Sunday evening acoustic show starting at 6.30pm. The Saturday afternoon session will run from 2-6pm. All events are free and for more information visit .
