The surprise guest wowed the crowds at the Rockfest with his tribute to the Welsh singer and he even had the traditional thrown on stage to him!

Rockfest, which was organised by local firm Fake Festivals, was held inside a marquee at West Park and housed local bands along with top tribute bands 'Four Fighters' (Foo Fighters), 'New2' (U2) and 'Basketcase' (Greenday). Festival organiser and promoter Jez Lee told this newspaper: "The day was a real success, all the bands performed really well and those who attended seemed to enjoy themselves. It has firmly confirmed to me that Goole enjoys these kinds of events and we will certainly be back next year."

The Goole Rockfest is the eighth festival in the tribute band tour and the final stop is at Belton Rockfest on September 6.
