Published on 14th August 2008 in Ents

Goole Goods Office travelled to Howden for their first pre-season friendly on Saturday. and came away from the game winning 6-4.

Both teams gave each other a good work out. With new signings on display for both sides.

The Goole side saw the return of Neil Huntington, who missed most of last season through injury, and he obliged by scoring twice.

New signing Matt Whittaker also grabbed a brace putting in a Man of the Match display. Gibbon and Croley were the other scorers, but it wasn't so much about the win, the game was more for the fitness with a few of the players looking to have put on a few pounds here and there.

Further friendlies are to be arranged, and training has now started as well for anyone interested.

The venue is the Grammar School field on a Tuesday at half past six, and contact Jason Gibbon for further details.
