Little Red Riding Hood - revived
Published on 20th December 2007 in Ents
A classic children's story currently showing at the Hull Truck Theatre has been given a radical makeover as the audience gets to decide the fate of one of the show's lead characters.
Nick Lane's laugh-a-minute Yuletide version of Little Red Riding Hood is a not-to-be-missed family show that sees the law catch up with the infamous Big Bad Wolf, and it's the audience that gets to decide what happens to him as the play runs over the Christmas period.
The Big Bad Wolf (Marc Bolton) has been making Little Red Riding Hood's (Amy Thompson) life a misery, but she is given the chance to get her own back and spell out her case against the big meany.
Then, it's the wolf's turn to fight his corner with the audience - is he really as bad as people think, or is he being stitched up?
It's up to you to decide... but if you're keen to pass judgment on the Big Bad Wolf, you are advised to do so soon, as Nick Lane's smash-hit 2006 Christmas show Snow White completely sold out - so early booking for Little Red Riding Hood is advised.
Little Red Riding Hood is at Hull Truck Theatre now and runs until Saturday, January 5. A signed performance will be taking place tomorrow, Friday, December 21, at 5.15pm.
