Fantastic fish

The Triton Inn in Brantingham has recently been refurbished and reopened a few months ago to incorporate the new Poseidon Restaurant.

While food is at the heart of The Triton, entertainment is also a key factor, with carefully themed evenings to compliment the fine dining atmosphere.

The Triton is very popular for its fish dishes. A trio of Goole Times reporters visited recently and sampled the Triton Fish Crumble, which, with its mussels, smoked salmon, prawns and squid, comes highly recommended.

The vegetables were a little on the cold, bland side but the creaminess of the sauce in the crumble made up for it.

The Poseidon is named after the father of Triton in Greek mythology and comes equipped with a grand piano that can play itself!

A prize draw to a win a fish meal every week for a year attracted entries from Gilberdyke, Eastrington and Brough.

The restaurant is also home to an extensive wine collection with over 100 different wines which line the walls in glass-fronted cabinets.
