A host of musical treats is set to be on offer at Airmyn Village Hall later this year when Goole and District FGB and Goole Women's Aglow host a Country Gospel Concert but be warned - tickets are selling fast!

The event, taking place on Friday, October 26 is set to feature Paul Wheater, who is billed as Yorkshire's answer to Jim Reeves and is supported by John Gaughan, ex-member of Herman's Hermits.

The Hull Gospel Choir is also due to attend, under leader Helen Garnett, and there will also be a performance from The Bendriens.

Compere Bill Northmore will oversee proceedings from 7pm onwards, and tea, coffee and biscuits will be available during the interval.

Tickets cost £10 each, and are on sale at the Goole Times office at 102 Boothferry Road.

For more information about the concert, call 01405 760116.
